We are proud to announce that our Urban Residence project has won a prestigious Slovak architecture award, the 2024 CE ZA AR award, in the exterior design category. The award highlights the innovative and sustainable approach we adopted to create an attractive and functional outdoor community space.
Our mission is to develop projects that go beyond standard housing. We believe that public spaces are at the heart of any community, providing a place to live, meet and relax. That is why at Urban Residence we focused not only on the design, but on creating an environment in which people feel comfortable and enjoy being together. The development includes an inner courtyard with a large park, shops and services open to all.
The most prominent urbanistic component of the neighbourhood is the inner courtyard with a large park, which blends naturally into the urban environment of Račianska street, enriching it with new public amenities and a sought-after public space. The busy street is connected by arcades with the quieter courtyard, whose most distinctive feature is the undulating terrain with trees planted on top of the underground car park. The jury particularly appreciated the concept of the undulating landscape as an original approach to bringing greenery, natural shade and space for relaxation and play into a densely built-up part of the city.
This success would not have been possible without the tireless efforts and engagement of the entire team, from those who drew the initial sketches to those who brought them to life. We value the CE ZA AR award not only as recognition of our hard work, but also as proof that public spaces and greenery improve the quality of life in our development projects.
About Urban Residence
Urban Residence consists of modern residential buildings, retail premises and community areas. Completed in 2021, the project combines the comforts of living in a city with community life and is now home to more than 400 families. It also includes a new multi-purpose public park that improves the quality of life for residents by promoting inclusion and environmental sustainability.
