Expert discussions on innovative approaches to family housing
Lucron has become a partner of the international summit Start with Children 2025, which will take place on 13 and 14 May 2025 at the Old Market Hall in Bratislava.
The two-day conference “Reclaiming cities for childhood: How to create vibrant neighbourhoods and communities” will bring together more than 40 experts from around the world to discuss the future of cities, mainly from the perspective of their youngest inhabitants.
Lucron to take part in important expert discussion
Slavomír Habánik, Development Director of Lucron, will participate in a panel entitled “Client and architect dialogue: How to achieve innovative models of family housing”, which will take place on Wednesday 14 May at 9:30 at the Old Market Hall.

In the discussion moderated by Petra Marko from the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava, together with experts such as British architect Jonny Anstead from TOWN and Juraj Benetin from COMPASS Architects, who is also behind a number of Lucron projects, they will focus on challenges in designing and implementing innovative forms of housing for young families.
The panel will explore how effective collaboration between developers and architects can create sustainable and family-oriented housing that better responds to the current needs of modern families.
We are pleased that our Urban Residence project will be cited as an example of good practice, and which today is home to more than 400 families, as well as young people who are just beginning to build their lives.
An integral part of the project is a green park with an area of 2,000 m², creating a pleasant and inclusive environment for families with children, dog owners, and sports enthusiasts. We are very glad that the area is used for active life, and Urban Residence demonstrates how projects can connect new and original residents of the neighbourhood.
Summit full of inspiring speakers
As a developer focused on creating quality and rewarding living spaces, Lucron appreciates the opportunity to be part of a platform that brings together local government representatives, urban planners, architects, developers, sociologists and activists.
Conference speakers who will bring their valuable insights will include:
- Carlos Moreno, author of the 15-minute city concept, who will present how this approach was originally developed based on exploring children’s needs;
- Eva Kail, Austrian architect and urban planner involved in creating Aspern Seestadt in Vienna, one of the largest and most innovative urban development projects in Europe;
- Jonny Anstead, British architect and co-founder of TOWN focused on co-housing, who will give a presentation on the Marmalade Lane project in Cambridge – a community district with a progressive approach to housing and shared spaces;
- Rune Boserup (COBE) and Jakob Steen Christensen (JAJA architects), who will discuss the concept of the 5-minute district Nordhavn in Copenhagen.
